Development of the Centre

Serving the local community

Kirriemuir Day Centre has been serving the local community for well over 30 years and throughout that time it has prided itself on being able to adapt to many changes that have occurred in the Care Service sector as a whole and Day Care in particular. This has been due to a large degree on the flexibility and commitment off the staff that we employ within the the day centre.

The last 18 months has been a huge challenge for everyone associated with the centre and for the local community at large. However, we believe that we will come out of this difficult time in a stronger position than before.

Due to the changing nature of services that we have had to provide throughout the pandemic, we are now looking to adopt some of these changes long term and so we will be expanding the level of our services we provide. It is our intention not only to provide traditional day centre services but also, we intend to provide a level of outreach service to our members and others in the local community.

This service will most likely include the provision of personal care, delivery of lunches and meals and where required general housekeeping and shopping/delivery services.

This change in the type of service we deliver, means that in the not-too-distant future we believe we will be seeking to employ people with a flexible attitude and a wish to provide excellent levels of care to the most vulnerable people in our society.

If you feel that you would like to be part of what we believe will be an exciting new period in the development of kirrie Day Centre, then we would encourage you to write to the Manager Ashley McIntosh detailing your background and why you feel you would like to become part of our team.
